  To make payment on a Custom Piece.....

• Personal checks or money orders are acceptable.  However, they must clear before work is begun, or finished piece is sent. 

• Credit card payments are accepted via Paypal, which is both secure and more timely.  When paying in this manner, please state name of quilt and whether you are making a deposit or completed payment.   Terms and Conditions are stated below.   If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at Custom Quilts.   

  

  Terms and Conditions for a Custom Piece.....

• A non-refundable deposit of $50-$200 (dependent upon project size/detail) is required up-front to cover the initial cost of fabrics and supplies. 

• Cost of the pieces vary with size and detail.  We'll help you find a design to fit both your lifestyle and your budget.  Here is an idea of what you can expect:
  *Home Decor items typically start at $70+ for pillows, $80+  for seat covers. 
  *Table Cloths and Runners range from $250-$500, dependent upon detail.
  *Vestments run from $250-$350 according to intricacy of design.
  *Memory Quilts typically range in price from $300-$400.
  *Pricing for most other items, i.e. Fractured Landscapes, Watercolor Quilts, etc. generally begins at $600 for smaller, simpler designs, to $1000+ for larger more intricate items.
  Prices depend upon many factors; including the types of materials used, the intricacy of design, and amount of fine detail work; as well as the time required to make the piece.  The more information you can give us regarding what you would like, the better able we are to quote an accurate, initial estimate.  If you change your mind, or add to the request after the initial estimate is made, expect the price and time to increase accordingly.

• Initial sketches, color themes and designs are discussed in detail with the client first.  Approval, along with clarity of thought and idea, are important in assuring there are no misunderstandings later on.  Due to the nature of hand-work, each piece is an individual work of art, and can vary in actuality of design as it progresses.  However, all effort is made to ensure that the finished piece is as close to the approved design as possible.  Client input is sought and encouraged at each stage as work proceeds.

• Client is welcome to view the piece as it progresses; either in-person, or via digital photos by e-mail.

• After the initial deposit, payment must be received and cleared before delivery of the finished item.  In addition, for larger and/or more detailed projects, half of the estimate must be paid when the project is at the half-way point.  Failure to make this payment, results in work being stopped, and not resumed until payment is received.  The initial time estimate becomes void, and is then adjusted to include this delay.  Please be forewarned that resuming work on a halted project may not happen for weeks or months, depending on current schedule.

• Time for completion varies, based upon size, detail, and current schedule.  When an initial cost estimate is given, a time estimate will be given as well.  It can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months to complete a piece, depending upon intricacy of design, detail, and execution.  The quality of a piece will not be compromised due to time constraints.  If you must have a piece completed by a specific deadline, please say so up front.  Should the piece require more time to complete than originally agreed upon, you will be notified within two weeks of the estimated completion date and given a new time estimate.

• Upon completion and receipt of payment, item will be shipped to buyer by UPS Ground.  Item is insured in full, and traceable for greater reliability in delivery.
